Hiya! I'll be honest, this is probably gonna be a bit of a repeat of info on the home page but figured I'd make this anyways. I'm B.L.Richards or simply Blur for short. I'm 25+ year old woman living in the Midwest USA (and despite my verbal complaining about the weather here, I can't seem to escape).

I've always enjoyed writing and doing a bit art. I remember writing fanfiction in Middle and High School whenever possible. Actually saved a lot of those notebooks and still have them. I think it was around High School that I started thinking about creating my own original works and found it really enjoyable. That's what stuck around!

Art, on the other hand, has always been a hobby I've had a push pull relationship with. I greatly enjoy it but I just don't really have the patience artists need. I'm pretty hesitant to call myself anything beyond a beginner artist at best. But it is something I do still enjoy.

Beyond writing and art, I also enjoy:

  • Video Games (Always down for open world survival games or cozy games :3)
  • Watching YouTube (especially video essays and documentary style videos. Guilty pleasure is watching videos about drama happening online that I have no connection/idea of)
  • Snuggling my dogs
  • Making maps in Wonderdraft, Dungeondraft, Dungeon Alchemist, and Canva of Kings
  • Using Bases/Lineart (Seriously go look at Kaikree's Patreon bases/lineart and NorthernRed's Patreon bases/lineart if you're able! They're the two I use the most bases from and both are absolutely amazing!)
  • Creating random characters I'll probably never us on Doll Makers or Picrews
  • Making mini generators for myself on Perchance

Outside of this site, I do have a separate career in technology. I've got a computer degree and currently working in my career field (something I will never stop being thankful for). I've got a bit of a love/hate relationship with technology in general. I love seeing the advancements and thinking about what can be possible in the future while also loathing the seemingly decreasing respect and consideration larger companies have for their consumers in regards to lifespan of technology and forcing additional "features" that people might not want. Not to mention I'm convinced technology has some level of sentience because there's no other explanation of why someone could be having an issue that suddenly gets resolved the moment I look at it -.-
